Installing Remote Desktop on a Personally-Owned Mac (How-to)

Microsoft Remote Desktop is software that provides access to Drake’s virtual applications and desktops. This application may be installed from the Mac App Store on a personally-owned Mac computer.

Installing Microsoft Remote Desktop

  1. Open the Mac App Store.
  2. In the Search text box, type in Microsoft Remote Desktop.

  1. Locate Microsoft Remote Desktop in the search results. Click Get to install the software.

Find and Launch Remote Desktop

  1. Open Spotlight Search by pressing the Command and Spacebar keys at the same time.
  2. In the Spotlight Search text box, search for Remote Desktop.
  3. Click on the Microsoft Remote Desktop search result to launch the software.
