Installing Citrix Workspace on a Drake-Owned Mac (How-to)

Citrix Workspace is software that provides access to Drake's virtual applications and desktops. Drake's Self Service application can be used to install Citrix Workspace on Drake-owned computers.

To install Citrix Workspace on a personally-owned Macintosh computer, please follow the article Installing Citrix Workspace on a Personally-Owned Mac (How-to). Once you have Citrix Workspace installed, reference the instructions for Using Citrix Virtual Applications and Desktops (How-to).


1. Find and Launch Self Service

  1. Open Spotlight by clicking on the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of your screen.
  2. Type Self Service into the Spotlight text field.
  3. Launch Self Service.
    • NOTE: If you do not have Self Service installed on your computer, please submit a Service Request and an ITS staff member will install the application for you.

2. Install Citrix Receiver

  1. Locate Citrix Receiver in the list of applications and click Install.

 


3. Find and Launch Citrix Workspace

  1. Open Spotlight Search.
  2. Type Citrix Workspace into the text field.
  3. Launch Citrix Workspace.


4. Add Account

  • In the field requesting your Store URL or email address, type vdi.drake.edu then click Continue.


5. Login to Citrix Workspace

  1. Enter your User name (9-digit Drake ID number) and Password.
  2. Click Log On.
