1. Connect to the Zimpleman Desktop in Windows App
- Open Windows App. If Windows App is not installed on your computer, please reference the knowledge base articles for Azure Virtual Desktops.
- Click on the Devices tab.
- Launch the Zimpleman Desktop by clicking Connect.

2. Configure the PuTTY Client
1. Open PuTTY
- Click on the Search button (magnifying glass icon) on the task bar.
- In the search bar, type in PuTTY.
- In the search results, click on PuTTY.

2. Connecting to the server
- In the Host Name field, type in data.drake.edu
- Click Open.

- If you are prompted with a PuTTY Security Alert dialog box, click the Accept button to proceed.

- At the login as: prompt, type in your Drake ID number if you are a student. If you are a professor, use your last name as the user name.
- Type your Drake Password and press Enter. NOTE: You will not see the characters as you type them.

- If the log in was successful, you will see a screen similar to the one above. Log out of the server by typing logout in the shell prompt, or click the X to close the PuTTY session.
You are now ready to set up MySQL Workbench.
