Email Account Recovery

Drake email accounts are deleted based on standard retention policies. This request is to recover a Drake email account that was deleted in the last 60 days. Faculty and staff email accounts are deleted immediately upon leaving Drake University. Student email accounts are deleted one year after cessation of classes. Alumni email accounts are deleted three years after graduation.

An ITS staff member will contact you with any questions or to let you know when your request has been completed.

Requirements

In order to request a content change you will need to provide the following information:

  • Drake email address of account being recovered
  • User role (Faculty, staff, student (full or part time, undergraduate or graduate) or Service Account.
  • Description of the issue – Was the account deleted according to policy? or was the account accidentally deleted?
