Blackboard Restore Archived Course

Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) is a web-based course management tool used to organize and deliver materials for courses. Blackboard provides tools and functions for file sharing, grading, wikis, discussion boards, chat rooms, and more. Instructors have the ability to request the restore a past archived course as long as it is still in the archive repository (guaranteed for 2 years). Please refer to the LMS Retention Policy for further details.

What to Expect

Course restore requests will be completed within 16 business hours of receiving the request.

Requirements

In order to request a restored course, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Term of archived course
  • CRN of archived course
  • Who need access once course is restored (Instructors of record, Department chairs, Deans, review committees, etc.) NOTE: restored courses will not be released to students.
  • Reason for restore
