Blackboard Course Merge

Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) is a web-based tool used to organize and deliver materials and engage learners. Blackboard course merge requests are used to combine all student and instructor enrollments from two or more courses into a “parent” course. Merging courses helps avoid having to replicate and update the same content across multiple courses/sections offered in the same semester. (Faculty/Staff only)

What to Expect

Courses will be merged within one business day of the request.

Requirements

In order to request a course merge, the request must be made by the faculty of record for the courses being merged. The following information will need to be provided:

  • CRNs or Course Numbers of all courses being merged
  • Preferred course name
  • Term
  • (optional) The Course ID  for a previous course you might need copied forward into the newly merged course.
