What to Do After Password Reset: Tablets and Cell Phones (How-to)

Body

Here are the steps needed on your tablet or cell phone to ensure your password reset is effective.

NOTE: Drake faculty and staff should always change their Drake password on their Drake-owned computer while on campus and while connected to Drake's wired network (Ethernet). After changing your Drake password, immediately update your Drake password on your other devices. Failure to do so will result in your account being temporarily locked.

1. For iPads & iPhones

  1. Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings and tap your current Drake network.
  2. Tap Forget this Network.
  3. Select eduroam from the list of available networks.
  4. When prompted, enter your Drake email address and new password.
  5. Accept the new certificate.
  6. You should now be connected to eduroam.

2. For Android Tablets & Phones

  1. Go to your device’s Wi-Fi settings and tap your current Drake network.
  2. Tap Forget this Network.
  3. Select eduroam from the list of available networks.
  4. In your device's Wi-Fi settings, set the following options:
    1. EAP method: PEAP.
    2. Phase 2 authentication: None. (This may be in Advanced options.)
    3. CA Certificate: Do not validate.
  5. Enter your Drake email address in both the Identity and the Anonymous Identity fields. (Not all phones require Anonymous Identity.)
  6. Enter your Drake password and connect.
