Privacy Concerns
With Zoom, consider posting access links to the office hours inside Blackboard Learn instead of emailing links to students directly or posting them publicly. This will ensure that your office hours aren't crashed by anyone who shouldn't be there.
Setting up space
Make sure there is a main room and a separate private space for one-on-one or small-group consultation. Breakout rooms work well for the private space.
It is best to customize an uploaded file/message students see as they wait to meet with you in the main waiting room. The breakout room would be used for confidential conversations, private meeting room, or “office.”
