Submit a Panopto Video Assignment in Blackboard (How-to)

This document will walk students through the process of creating or uploading a Panopto video as part of Blackboard Assignment.

1. Submitting a Panopto Video Assignment

1. Select the Insert Content (+) dropdown menu in the Blackboard Assignment and select Content Market.

  1. From an Assignment or Discussion, navigate to the plus option in the menu window.
  2. Choose Content Market from the provided choices.

2. Select the Panopto Video Student Submission option.

3. Select which option you want to use to submit the video. You have three options:

  1. Choose an existing Panopto Video that you have previously created in the Panopto Assignments Folder.
  2. Upload an existing video to Panopto from your device.
  3. Record a new Panopto video on your device.
    1. You can record directly in your browser.
    2. You can also choose to download and install the desktop application. You will be offered the appropriate installation depending on which platform you are using. Note the example below is offering to use a Mac application.

4. Once you have created/uploaded/selected your video, click Insert. Add any additional content as directed by your instructor.

5. Submit the assignment with the inserted video.

Once the video has been successfully submitted, a confirmation page will be displayed. It may take a few minutes to complete the upload process, depending on the size of the video. Please be sure to not navigate away from the page until you receive the success confirmation window.
