Viewing or Updating Your Contact Information in Self Service (How-to)

This guide will provide information about how to see or make changes to your personal information, personal pronoun(s), preferred first name, and emergency contact information.

1. Accessing your Personal Information page

  1. Go to my.drake.edu using your favorite browser and log in using your Drake email address and password. For more information, see Signing in to Microsoft-connected systems (How-To).
  2. Click on the Self Service link in the Commonly Used Apps section.
  3. On the Personal Information card, click the My Information link. NOTE: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required to view or change information. For assistance, see the MFA guides in the IT service portal.

2. Viewing/Updating Personal Pronouns

  1. On the Personal information page, go to the Personal Details section and click on the pencil icon.
  2. Use the pull down menu under Personal Pronoun to select your pronoun and click the Update link.  NOTE: If you want to remove an existing pronoun, select Not Applicable from the list.

3. Viewing/Updating Preferred First Name

  1. On the Personal information page, go to the Personal Details section and click on the pencil icon.
  2. Enter your preferred first name and click the Update link.
  3. You will receive a confirmation email regarding your preferred first name update. This email will provide you with the link to update your email address with your preferred name, if desired.

4. Viewing/Updating Contact Information 

  1. On the Personal Information page, go to the section you want to update (Email, Phone Number, Address, or Emergency Contact).
  2. To change your current information, click the pencil icon. To add new information, click +Add New.
  3. Click the Update link to save your changes.
