Qualtrics is a robust information gathering tool that can be used to:
- Capture survey results from a publicly-available survey, or from specific users.
- Assist faculty, staff, and students with collecting data for research project or assignments.
- Assess user satisfaction with academic or administrative programs or services.
Before you can use begin using Qualtrics, you must first create an account. Below are the instructions for how to set up your account.
If you already have an account under the Drake Qualtrics tenant, it is not necessary to follow these steps. Simply login with at https://drake.qualtrics.com
1. Accessing Qualtrics
- If you are faculty/staff, begin by logging into https://my.drake.edu. Under the Administrative Tools section in the center column, there is a link to Qualtrics.
- If you are a student or do not see the Administrative tools section, you can begin by going to https://drake.qualtrics.com and then complete steps 2 through 6.
2. Create an Account
- Click on the Don't have an account link at the bottom of the window, as shown in the image.
3. Enter Your Information
You must use your drake.edu email address in order to sign up for an account and as your username. You will not need an access code. Once you have provided your email address, click the Sign me up button to continue.
4. Confirm your email address
After you have submitted your email address, you will be prompted to verify the address you have submitted.
Before your new account can be created you will need to log into the email account you provided and look for the verification email from Qualtrics. It will look similar to the image below. To verify the provided email address, click the Verify My Email button or copy and paste the provided verification link into a web browser.
5. Add Your Personal Information
Once you have verified your email address, you will be asked to provide your account information as well as a password. Be aware, the password you choose is not managed by Drake. This means that when you change your Drake password, the password you use for Qualtrics will not change automatically.
6. Account Creation Verification
Once your account has been created, you will see a verification message like the one below. From here you can log into Qualtrics with your newly created account.
