Create a Panopto Video in Blackboard Learn Ultra

This article will show you how to create a Panopto video from within your Blackboard Learn Ultra course. Before you begin, make sure that you have created a Panopto Video Library folder for the course. 

Create a video in a document
To begin, select the document where you want to create a video. 
  1. Click the plus (+) sign and select Add Content. 
  2. From within the editor, click on the Insert Content icon, seen at top in the image below. 
  3. Click on LTI item, seen at bottom in the image below. 
  4. Choose the card that reads Panopto Video Embed.
  5. Click Record to create a new video. 
    1. Capture (Browser) will open a version of Panopto in your current web browser. Video can be sourced from your computer's webcam or from an open program or window on your computer. Click Launch Capture to begin.
    2. Panopto (App) will open the fully-featured Panopto program installed on your computer. Click Launch App to begin, or Download to install the app. Read more about how to Create Recordings Using Panopto Video Recorder. 
  6. After recording your video, close the Browser Capture or Panopto App to return to the tab with the Panopto LTI Launch page. You can adjust any Video Embed Options you want before clicking Insert to add the video to the folder or learning module.

Create a video in a folder or learning module
To begin, select the location in a folder or learning module where you want to add a new video. 
  1. Click the plus (+) sign and select Content Market (see image below). 
  2. Choose the card that reads Panopto Video Embed.
  3. Click Record to create a new video. 
    1. Capture (Browser) will open a version of Panopto in your current web browser. Video can be sourced from your computer's webcam or from an open program or window on your computer. Click Launch Capture to begin.
