Below are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about Blackboard Learn for students. 

Why can't I see my course in Blackboard Learn?
  • Courses remain hidden/unavailable until the instructor makes the course available.
  • It takes anywhere from 24 to 48 hours (depending on the time of day of the registration) to be added to a Blackboard Learn course.
  • If the semester has already started and the course is still not visible on Blackboard Learn, please contact your instructor to if they are using Blackboard Learn for the course.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
  • Blackboard Learn uses your Drake password. If you forgot your Drake password, you can reset it using the Password Manager.
How do I get Respondus Lockdown Browser?
Which browser should I use to access Blackboard Learn?
  • For Windows users, we recommend using either Firefox or Google Chrome. Please avoid using Edge, Internet Explorer, or Safari for Windows.
  • For Mac users, we recommend using either Firefox or Google Chrome. Please avoid using Safari.
Does my device meet the requirements for Blackboard Learn?
Can I access my course on my phone or tablet?
  • Yes. You may use the browser on your device or download the app from the appropriate app store.
