Video Conferencing Consultation

Synchronous video communication tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Blackboard Collaborate are being used across campus to deliver instruction, bring in guest lecturers, or to attend class when students cannot physically attend. This service is to schedule a consultation to discuss your video conferencing needs in order to determine an appropriate solution.

In order to successfully use these communication tools, you may need to purchase additional cameras, microphones, headsets, or licenses. In most cases, however, no additional purchases will be needed.

What to Expect

An ITS staff member will contact you within two business days to schedule a time to meet at your convenience.

Requirements

In order to request a consultation you'll need to provide the following information:

  • Where will the video conference take place?
  • How many attendees will be at a distance?
  • Will you need two-way audio?
  • Is this a one time or a recurring event?

Each need is unique and requires careful planning to help guarantee success. Once a solution is agreed upon, you will need to test it to ensure you understand your role.
